Unexpected with 'Unexpectedly Yours' (Review)

After three decades two former high schoolmates Patty played by Sharon Cuneta and Cocoy played by Robin Padilla find each other unexpectedly, not only as organizers of their high school reunion, but also as new neighbors.

Cocoy who still harbors feeling towards Patty tries to pursue her when he found out that she is now separated. Patty and her daughter Yanni's (Julia Barretto) quiet lives then get an unexpected shake-up when Cocoy and his nephew Jason (Joshua Garcia) comes knocking on their door.

Fun, fresh and Exciting. These are the three words that comes to my mind after watching the movie.
  • Fun. Comedy and romance very natural to Robin and Sharon's tandem, same as Joshua and Julia. The movie was able to tackle real life issues about Family, Love. mid-life crises and career.
  • Fresh. Joshua and Julia continuously prove that they are the "next big thing". The humor is very natural and the lines were executed well. No awkward moments.
  • Exciting. I was never a fan of Robin and Sharon tandem. But in this movie you will absolutely love them. They have proved their  chemistry is natural and very noticeable no matter what generation you belong to. Is is with the fact that they did not have much physical interaction which is a good thing for me.
The film has no dull moments. You don't want to miss even a single scene in the film.

The film showed the effect of the digital world for the millennials, families and how it affects the business sector.

The film thought us about balance in family relationship for Gen X and millennial generation..
I'll rate it as 9 out of 10.

Personal Notes:
  • Be patient.
If you love someone you will never get tired in making him/her feel how you value them.
  • Forgive yourself.
We all commit mistakes and we all fail. In every mistakes there is learning.
  • Perseverance.
If the person you love does not appreciate you, don't stop. She/He might not notice you right now but he/she will eventually if you persevere.
